Default Underdrive Pulley Install Question

Alright guys, got my BBK underdrives in the mail a few days ago. Getting ready to install them. Do I really need all the tools they say I need (impact gun, tork wrench, etc), or can I get by with basic tools? And secondly, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how the heck to loosen up the belt tensioner. The maintenance book I have gives a crappy illustration. I'm driving an 86. Thanks for any help on this.

Default Pullies

I don't know about the other's, But i am pretty sure you need an impact gun to take off the alternator pulley. 13/16 i think.

If you are lucky, you can loosen the alternatoir pulley while the belt is still on the car. You have to leave the belt on while you turn the nut. If this doesn't work, then yes you need an impact wrench to remove the pulley.
To loosen the belt tensioner, use a tire iron or crowbar under the tensioner mount between it and the pulley and just lift up. Remove the belt, install your pulleys, and reinstall the belt in the reverse order.

if you use a socket and a breaker bar you can use the bolt on the tensioner to bring it up and remove the belt. now let me let you in on something. when you start the car your alternator will not be at the middle at idle anymore. if you alternator is weak or going bad chances are it will read in the red so be careful
