Default Fuel Pump Upgrade.....

I have a 95 Gt with TFS heads, GT-40 Intake, 65 mm TB, and an agressive cam. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it set at about 42 psi. When I take off the car sometimes wants to hestitate and the exhaust smells funny. I think that it is lean, but I cant tell. Anyways, I still have the stock fuel pump on there. I have a walbro 190 lph fuel pump at the house. Will putting this pump on here correct my problem to some degree. One more thing, how important is it to get a custom chip burned for my computer after making all these mods. Please help.....
Chris

Define an "agressive cam". Does the car maintain 42 psi throughout the power/fuel curve? Is the check engine light on?
The best way to determine fuel mixture is as follows: 1. Get the car up to speed on a straight stretch of roadway. 2. Accelerate with your foot to the floor IN TOP GEAR from a speed of about 30mph/50kmh, in that the engine is straining. do this for about a minute. 3. Release the accelerator and immediately shut the engine off. Pull over to the side of the road and pull the plugs. Do not let the enginei idle! 4. Read the color of the plugs. White = lean, black = rich, tan/light brown = ok.

I have a TFS cam with the following specs.....
Advertised Duration: 275 degrees intake, 279 degrees exhaust
Duration @ .050 in.: 221 degrees intake, 225 degrees exhaust
Lift: .499 in. intake, .510 in. exhaust
Lobe Separation: 112 degrees
RPM Range: 2,000-5,500

The injectors are stock 19 lbs. Yes the fuel pressure stays constant. So is this the problem?

Your 19lbs injectors are getting marginal. I would do as Jarret said.

I bet you need bigger injectors. 24lbs would be my choice with the proper MAF cal.

Default Taking out plugs....

I understand what you are saying about checking the plugs, but with aluminum heads, I thought that you had to let the motor cool completely down before removing the plugs. It will strip the threads on the heads since aluminum expands more with heat than iron does. That causes the heads to "clamp" down on the plugs. I think this hypothesis is correct, I am a student studying engineering and that is something that I have learned in a mechanics of materials class. I may be wrong though. Would it be better to just get a air/fuel ratio gauge?

If you have a air/fuel gauge available by all means use it. That is by far the best way. Most do not.

A little anti-seize on the plugs will help with the material difference.

Or if your in an area where you can let it cool down before pulling the plugs
