ok, hers is a modification for those who want to keep their marker lights, but make them blink at the same time. here is what you need:
1. two center light sockets(new or junkyard) i prefered junk cause they are wire color specific.the new ones come with a different object wire(the color is the same as the passenger side wire)
2. 2' 18 guage wire
3. 3m splices (2)
4. 22-18 guage butt connectors (6)
5. heatshrink or electrical tape.
ok, remove the drivers side marker housing. two 7/16 nuts hold them in place. remove the socket and put the housing aside, we will get back to this later. pull back the wire loom, and cut the wires 2" from the socket. strip the 1/4" and crimp the butt connectors to them. slide in the heatshrink. like i said, the ones i used were color specific,so crimp black to black and brown to brown. now at this time, take the center socket out of the housing, and using the 3m splice use 1' of the 18 guage wire and splice it into the green wire. then, using the butt connector, attach it to the green wire on the new socket. use the heatshrink or use electrical tape for a more factory look. tuck the wires back in the loom, and repeat on the passenger side but the object wire is white with a blue stripe. once you are finished, put in the bulbs (they are now the same as the center ones) and test. reach in and press the parking lights. they should come on as normal. then use either the turn signals or flashers and they should now blink.
ok lets get to the housings. take the new socket, and with a sharpie pen, trace the socket onto the housing. NOTE: on the socket you might want to cut the solid tab off so you dont have to figure out how long to make the slot for it. now cut the new opening,i used a dremmel and it is a lot easier and cleaner. test fitting as you go. once you get it, put the sockets in,bolt them back up and enjoy.
by the way the cost is pretty cheap, no more than $25.00 for everything (if you use new sockets cheaper if you use salvaged ones). i think its a pretty good modification and it really doesnt hurt the charging system at all.
On a personal note: this was a fix that is well over due. Ford should have done this when they built this particular car for at least safety reasons hope you get as much enjoyment as i do on this.

basically you are putting a jumper from the center housing into a now three wire socket. you cant jump the two wire,so you use a replacement socket and add a wire to that. Easy enough.
