Hallow out catalytic converters?

If I hallow out the catalytic converters on my 90 stock H pipe will I get a check engine light from the o2 sensors?

Why not just buy a used H pipe off of CL. Hollowing out the cats and silencers is a big job.

Look behind the Cats. Do you see any 02 sensors? The answer to the last question, is the answer to your question.

No code will be thrown.

And it take more than just a rod to get all that mesh that is in there out.

Not in my experience. But I'm also talking something that's almost the same diameter as the cat. And a 20 lb sledge. Done it plenty.

It will not throw a code.
O/r X pipe are not too expensive and a better option then busting up the cats. Save your cats in case you need to pass inspection down the road.

They say no. In my experience it always has. And I've done it a lot.
