Running HOT! This is really not a question, just to pass-on my findings. Maybe it will help others.
The Mustang is a 91 LX Hatch. Incon twin turbo. She always ran a little hot (around 200 deg.) on the highway. At first I had a Howe aluminuim radiator 19 x 26 with 2 10" electric fans that cooled pretty good but was not enough.
A friend had a Fluidyne so I put that in with 2 12" electric fans, she ran 5 deg. hotter than the Howe. At this time I was getting upset.
In went a Howe 19" x 28", same 12" fans on a shroud, new stat, new heater core, and a Flow Kooler water pump. Damn (sorry) she ran 220 deg down the highway.
Out came the stat (Stant) in went a Mr Gasket stat, she cooled down 10 deg.
Ok, ok a call to Flow Kooler. "Well you have a air bubble some where it can't be our pump" That pissed me off! (sorry again!)
Off came the Flow Kooler pump in went a Kragen new pump. And guess what happened, 195-200 deg in the drive way, 190-195 deg out on the highway. Oh-no it's not our pump!
Anyway I'm sold on Howe radiators and Mr Gasket stats. As far as Flow Kooler, we are not amused!
Oh and by the way, the Kragen pump ($28.95) is the same pump you get from Flow Kooler ($86.95) just without the .25 cent plate on the impeller
