Exclamation Help ! Trouble Code 81

MY '89 STANG STARTED RUNNING LOUSY WHEN I TOOK IT OUT OF STORAGE. THE AIR CHECK VALVE WAS LEAKING, SO I REPLACED IT. I CLEANED ALL THE SENSORS,PUT NEW GAS IN, CHECKED THE PLUGS, REPLACED THE CAP & ROTOR. THE WIRES SEEM FINE,THEY'RE NOT THAT OLD. I GOT THE TROUBLE CODE #81. IT IS FOR AN AIRD SOLENOID. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? DO THEY MEAN THE PURGE VALVE?
ALSO, I FOUND A SMOG PUMP ELIMINATOR BRACKET WHICH I WAS INTERESTED IN, BUT WHAT DO I DO WITH THE AIR PIPES AND HOW DO I TRICK THE COMPUTER TO THINKING IT'S THERE? CAN THIS BE DONE WITH A RESISTOR OF SOME SORT?
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, IT'S GETTING NICE OUT & I WANNA DRIVE MY CAR!

Nice ride.
It's one of the two nearly identical solenoids mounted on the rear of your pass side shocktower. It's the TAD, which should have a white wire with a green stripe.
You'll always get the codes when you scan, but it should run ok.
