Default supercharger or rebuild motor??????

i have a 88 mustang gt with a stock rebuilt motor with about 2500 miles on it. i want to have about 450 rwhp when i am done with it. i am looking at a supercharger that is about $1800 and putts out 6psi. how much would it cost just to get a motor rebuilt that will have about 500 crank hp? i have the block(302) and valve covers and water pump and all the other accessories. all i would be rebuilding is the bottom and the top end. i have the tools and everything needed to pull the motor. what would be my best option??? i was thinking a rebuilt motor so i cound put in all forged internals in and then it could handle a supercharger in the future. idk what to do.......please help!!!

I can't imagine getting 450 RWHP out of an $1800 6 psi S/C.
More like an $5000 flowzilla or something else along those lines in the 10-15 PSI range for those numbers. New HiPo motor any less expensive?
Luck--

you will also need more than 500 hp at the crank to put 450 to the ground. You should expect a 15-20% drop from the crank to the ground. You should be looking for somewhere in the 520-530 at the crank to get 450 at the wheels. And to be even more realistic, if you have it done on a good dyno that is set up to read very realistically it would say you would need around 550 to get that kind of power to the wheels. Every dyno is different, and most of the ones that the companies use to show how much of a performance gain a part has is usually very unrealistic to show more power than is really there.
