i had the same prob in my car ive got an 85 motor is an 89 body i have the bbk equal length headers in my car and i just changed the motor mounts nothing special just stock replacements and they clear but if that doesent give you enough somebody on this site told me that you can unbolt the steering shaft and get somebody to pull the wheel toward the passenger side and re tighten it and that willl give you the rest of the clearance you need
