I bought an 85' stang with a four banger. Its a fixer upper but, for $200 I couldnt pass it up. Two days later I puchase an 85' ltd crown vic with a 302. Then a really bright light started to blurr my vision all i could see was a very fast notchback. I heard it was gonna be a task. so , it sounded like fun. I stared buying MM&FF mags. I read an article that explaind how to do the swap. At the time I wasnt intreasted, now I am and I cant find any material on a swap , other than it can be done.

welcome to the site, and posts pics when finished....as for the swap, it is straight forward, the hard problem will be wiring...it wont be to hard with a carb

The LTD has a TBI, and the Stang has a carb. I was told I need an intake manifold and a carb for the 302. to avoid most of the wiring. Thats easy for me to get. I work at AUTOZONE .
The Stang needs body work also but I'm gonna get the Stang on the road, so I can pull the engine on the lead sled. I'll worry about the body a little later. I was looking at the motor mounts, right now is the only thing throwing me off right now.
I have a little knowledge on working on cars I just never did a swap.
