which do you guys prefer the f303 or e303 cam. I want the most hp with the best street ability. a rough idle is ok as long as it doesnt like cut-off all the time. i want it to have a good sound to thanks guys.

Niether, get a split duration stage 1 cam from Trick Flow. .499"/.510". NICE sound, great power although a bit rough on cold start up vacuum til it warms up.

I have an F303 and I like it. I can't say anything about any other cams because I haven't tried anything else. It does have that rough idle but I've never had problems with it. Car has never shut off and it cranks right up even in cold weather. Sound is ok... that's the only thing I wish was better... or maybe I need a louder exhaust? lol

yeh as long as it doesnt stall out a lot that is all im concerned about. I heard the e303 idles better but the f303 makes a little more power and thats what this is all about. And i def. have loud exhaust so maybe it will sound good. Thanks for the reply.

not a problem. I just found after replacing my clutch that there's something wrong with my tranny so my power expectations about the cam might be a little misinterpreted or whatnot. Anyway, you have that rough idle but comes 2k rpms and it wakes up like someone bumped you from behind lol. notice I said "bump" and not "waked the hell out of..." That's how it feels to me anyway hehe.

I can't prove this until tomorrow night (installing stock cam), but the E cam does not work well with the computer. I have the E cam now, and it dies at idle in gear, runs very rich at lower rpms. Drivability in town sucks, but at highway speeds it goes great. There are a lot of other posts on here with people having the same issue with this cam. The F cam does a lobe seperation closer to what the computer will accept, so it should work fine. I know people that aren't having any problems with it.
