Default Boost Gauge not working right..I think

I have 89 gt 5.0 just installed a powerdyne s/c 9lb you really have to lay into it for 5lb on the gage. I know a modded motor will use the boost just wondering how much.Does any have the same set up or close to it Thanks.

The reading on boost gauges depends also on where the line is connected, the best place for vac is directly to the same line that feeds the brake booster.

Most of the time you will get LESS BOOST than advertised by the manufacturer, but dont worry about the boost, the important thing is how much HP you gained
