Default Shift kit advice

'94 GT, wifes daily driver, my weekend racer. Would like to know what shift kit I should install that would have it shift much quicker on the track, but not snap the wifes kneck on every shift. I would also like to be able to manually shift the auto, because I found on one track I needed to downshift but had to wait for the auto to decide when IT wanted to shift. I am looking at B&M Transpack, Baumann, or Trans-Go. I do not race, just high speed touring on road course events. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i have a bauman kit and valvebody in my car and the firmness is set on the medium setting its still a bit rough so you might wanna go with the softest settings.
other than that i really like it thus far

Can you manually downshift? Will it immediately downshift when you move the shifter into a lower gear?

If its the original AODE get rid of the car while it still shifts correctly or have it rebuilt/ buy a new one with stronger internals. The AODE in my car lasted 58k. Now it needs a rebuild and I'm going to be in the whole $1200 or so. My advice would be to get a 5 speed car. If you continue to drive it in a "sprited" maner, be sure to get any of the before stated shift kits, a heavy duty trans cooler and keep on top of the fluid and filter maintenance. The AODE simply cannot handle the torque the 302 throws out. I'm not sure who drove my car for the first 30,000 miles, but i managed to kill it within 30,000 more, and my driving style is moderate.
