Ok, so after researching on this forum, I've learned that there are an incredible amount of opinions on this topic.
So bottom line, I want to replace everything from the throttle body to the intake and i would like it to be the type the pulls air thru the fenderwell all the way to the ground almost.
k&n does not make a FIPK for the 5.0 mustang. they have been quoted on these forums as saying "there can be no vast improvement over the 5.0 mustang stock cold air intake."
your current cai already draws air from your fenderwell. spend your money elsewhere man. youll pay 180 bucks for metal pipe that works no better than what you have.

bigger mass air, bigger throttle body, definately throw a k&n in the stock box. then get yourself a trickflow intake, then heads and cam... headers and an h-pipe would be good.
make sure you get your mass air sensor properly calibrated for your chosen injector size. (19lb injectors are stock)

Cool. Bought the K&N panel filter tonight and ordered a strut tower brace. I guess I'll start looking for a mass air sensor! Any suggestions on that too?

im not the best person to talk to about MAF, i have a speed density car...
your list looks like it could use some subframe connectors though

i would probably go with a pro-m 75mm MAF calibrated for 19lb injectors and then a 70mm throttle body. 19lb injectors should be plenty until you put heads and cam in. For the throttle body i would recomend MAC, thats what i have and i like it and install was easy... however the 70mm is bigger than the stock intake manifold opening, so make sure you take a dremel and port and smooth the opening of the intake manifold so its flush, other wise you might actually lose power. And since the manifold is aluminum any shavings that accidently go down the runners wont hurt the engine, just get as much out as possible. Hope this helps! -Brian
