I have a chance to get a pretty good deal on a 91 GT Rag top that is in decent condition. Only issue is transmission is about to go. THe owner sayes 2nd gear slipps really bad.

My questions is, this means it neds replaced/rebuilt correct? If so how much can you have one built/replaced for normally.

What if I want to upgrade the shift kit/valve body and torque converter for a little more punch?

well, if the tranny needs rebuilt, that would be the time to do the shift kikt and torque converter.

for a rebuild im not really sure. but for a solid performing AOD, your looking around 1500 - 2000 bucks.

you could also swap in a t5, its really not all that difficult a process.. ill be doing it very soon.

if the car is in great shape, and the price is right, i say go for it.
