Question Rear end is shot...

So my entire rear end (axels & differential) are shot to hell... i need a temp fix until i can afford to upgrade everything (its my daily driver) so i was looking for a used one/junk yard/ebay.. etc.. - my question is... what year mustang/ford rear ends will fit in my 93 gt - i was unsure if the 95-98 had the 8.8.. or what? i'd jus like it to work such that it is drivable - because a new one will really mess up my engine plans (which i've already begun) - i know ill need to replace it eventually but for now i cant afford to... so yea... what all can i search for to replace it? thanks

dude Ive got one. I still have it from my turbo coupe swap. Trac-lok is still tight and everything. Everything from drum to drum, even e-brake cables. Im all the way in WA though, so shipping may nullify this idea. If you want it PM me.
As far as fitment. I believe that SN95's are a little longer, like my turbo coupe rear. Plus youd have to do a rear disc conversion, so scrap that idea. 87-93 8.8's (ie. 5.0 motors) will work. They are all trac-lok from the factory. They are everywhere. Check on craigslist, stuff is cheaper and local... good luck.

along the lines of what stangboy said, the 94-98 rear end will bolt up, but the axles are longer (which is fine unless your running 9" rims), and they are rear disc which would require a master cylinder upgrade also. which really isn't hard or too expensive, i dont think. I'll be doing one soon on my car. Also the 94-98 rear ends come with 3.27 gears i think... good luck.

The Housing on the 94-98 is the exact same width as your 93, there is extra width in the disc brakes, its not a big deal as it actually fills out the fenderwell quite nicely.
