Default 8mm vs. 8.5mm wires??

i recently purchased a 90 5.0 and wanted to do a tune up to it.
somewhere in the cars previous line of owners it recieved a
MSD 6AL box and 8.5mm wires, a blaster 2 coils as well. do i need to have 8.5mm wires with the MSD box?? i would much rather put
a nice set of Taylor wires on there and i can get a set of those in
the 8mm pretty cheap. thanks everybody

Im not convinced there is much difference between wires, but some swear by them. Ive seend several people running MSD with 8mm wires, so I would say you will be fine.

I run a MSD digi6, pro billet distributor, Mallory coil and Ford racing wires. Never had a problem. The best part, the wires are about $40.

Might as well keep it 8.5mm+

Either accel 8.8, msd 8.5mm or ford 9mm will work fine. If you want to really get good ones, go for Mallory wires.
