Default Suspension and traction issues

For those making 500hp + or not
First of all, I’ve already searched the forum.
Just put a new motor and Vortech s-trim
http://amarilloracers.vidiac.com/toprated/0/wm/2DF795CC-3824-4C4B-B691-40B226B8B0B8.htm
in my 1993 mustang Lx. I made 508 hp and 508 torque to the rear wheels.
Can’t get any traction. Duh. I’ve got some MT ET streets 28x10.50x15. And that’s pretty much it for traction.I'm doing a decent burn out. The reason I went with street slicks is because of the stock axles.
I tried a few ¼ mile runs today. Best top speed was 109 with a bunch of traction loss. If I leave off the line at low rpm, it laggs. To high, lose traction in first and second gear.. Running 16 psi in the tires. The guy I bought this car from told me that it has suspension springs out of an 1993 4 cylinder stang.
What suspension parts to I need to buy for the front and rear?
I just need to know where to start and want to buy. I dont want to go back and ugrade the suspension later.Any tips? What rpms to launch at?</SPAN>

90/10's struts up front with the 4 banger springs & 50/50 shocks in the back.Leave the stock 5.0 lx springs in the back, just
get an air bag for the passenger rear spring(drag bag) try 15-20psi in the bag.Make sure you don't have 4 banger springs in the back.
You also may want to try 12-13 psi in those ET Streets. There not ET Street Drag Radials are they?
Let us know how you do.What gears are in the car? Is it a stick or auto?
Even spinning i thought you would have more mph with 500hp to the wheels???

Yea, MT ET Street Drag Radials. That 109mph I got is from an old G-Tech I have.I ran it three different time and went home upset over traction issues. Our local track closed down. I ordered a new SS G-Tech. Otta be in monday. Man, Wheel spin buffet,really...all the way through third gear. Kinda pissed me off.It was a waste of time and rubber off the new MT'S.I realized it doesn't matter how much HP you got,if you can't put it to the ground it pretty much useless. It's a 5 speed. And man, In first gear it raps up quicker than I can think to shift. The car has 3.73 gears.

I had the same problem at the begging of the year at a race.I had a brand new pair of MT ET Street Drag Radials 275/50/15's. They suck sh!t for a stick car.I would smoke them through 1st & 2nd gear every time.Even leaving at idle they would go up in smoke.I sold them and bought 26x11.50x15 ET Streets(not the drag radials)I have them on a 15x8 Draglites. The side walls don't flex enough in the drag radials and they go up in smoke.A stick car hits the tires to hard.Trust me it's like night and day between these tires.I was leaving at 4000 rpms and dumping the clutch with the nitrous coming on when it hits the floor,i was getting 1.58-1.60 every time.I also have stock axles and drive the car to an from the track an hour each way to.Also get rid of the quad shocks,im sure you have some good lower control arms already(urethane bushings? I have HPM lower control arms and i boxed the upper one's.
Good luck.
