Yeah, I've seen it too. I also talked to a guy in Bowling Green, KY last year that did what I did. It's not really complicated, just time consuming. It was WELL worth it though!! A Buddy and I are working on the door panels and hatch panels as we speak. I hope to have some fiberglass units that will flow with the dash. It should be fun building them. I'll keep everyone posted..LATER!!

Ok, I know this thread is way old but I've been working on fine tuning the positioning of my SN dash in my fox thunderbird and I noticed in these pics that you cut WAY less off the back of the dash than almost everyone else I have seen. Doesn't this space your steering wheel back kinda far as compared to the pedals (or are you using a fox column, which would be unaffected by the dash placement)? Also, doesn't having the dash spaced that far off the firewall leave a gap on the very far ends of the dash (where it would normally but up to the metal above the kick panel)?

Awesome stuff man! I dont know too much about cars, I just purchased an 82 and im trying to fix up the interior. I think they are pretty gross to start with. I'm trying to get a 89 dash to fit do you know if that will just pop right in? I dont mean to steal your thread but I figured you might know. Good luck with your project!

Question

looks good but... why not mold a fiber dash? they are lighter, and gorgeous. expecially if they match the car's exterior color.

This isnt for a mustang, i havent seen a kit for mustangs yet (havent looked) but its easier to me than trying to retrofit in a sense?

Man, That's a big project.... Just don't give up, and keep moving forward. I put a 93 fuel injected, Cobra (replica) in an 82 notch. It runs great and a SN95 interior would be tits in the little pony.

I'm an electrician and still desiding whether to digitize my dash one day or not. I comment you for sticking with your project and that jungle of wiring. I love the ambition. Way to see your vision through

yeah I saw that issue too with the sn95 interior in a fox body it does look awesome and it does flow. I know the guy used the door panels, dash and center console. If I can find the parts I'm gonna do the same conversion. Nice job so far.

It does look good I was going to attempt the same thing while I was building my first 4 banger to 5.0 swap but changed my mind but you are really pulling it off quite nicely

Default Awesome Inspiration

THis is too funny. I've been searching the web to find dimensions of the 05 Mustang Dash Frame and came across this post. I am also not a fan of the interior of the Fox. And which leads me to the early stages of putting in an 05 Mustang Dash into my 90 Fox Convertible. Whiz if you don't mind I could use any advice you might have. Already prepped to fight the battle of wires, and modifications. Just picked up a dash and wire harness from the junkyard today.
