Vacuum Assisted Hydraulic Clutch for a 1986 Mustang t5 Hey. I'm looking to convert my v6 auto to a V8-T5. I got the engine, now I have a question about the clutch.
Supposedly it's all done with a cable, but I'm looking into doing a hydraulic clutch. not only that I plan on pushing the engine to the max, so I'm going to need a clutch that can handle it.
I've heard that the higher in Power handling capabilities you go, the stiffer the clutch pedal gets.
Now I had an idea from a newer mustang, which uses power assist for the clutch.
if you took a brake pedal, with a break booster, caps off all outputs but one, and ran the vacuum hose to the "Clutch booster" and the other to the clutch actuator (which by the way, were can I get one?) would that work? and what kind of effect would it have? |
