Default shaved gas tank and replace 1/4s

I am going to replace my 1/4 with 3" flared 1/4s and front fenders with 1.5" flared fenders. Now the problem is if i shave my gas tank door closed where do i put the filler nozzle? I am useing a steeda 21gallon fuel cell

If you have a center mount neck on your fuel cell, then run it out the center rear of the car, where the license plate is. You could get a fold down plate mech off an older Ford and fab it in..it would be a sick mod...

i have the fold down install and thats what i want to do but steeda says theyre tank cant center mount i want a stock fitting tank.

ok imm going to cut out the spare tire well and make it flat so i can install a universal fuel cell in the middle and have the filler nozzle there

wowza custom work is fun ill be shaving some stuff too now that i have body work that needs done. antenna and hatch are first to get the razor.

I got the plate mounted but no pics yet i need to fine a good welder or learn how to myself so i can cut out the spare and well a sheet in place mounthing the tank will be simple. just gotta remeber to ground it, dont need a "flamming" stang

That sounds really cool. One of the things I like best about my chevelle because it doesnt matter "which side" of the pump I pull up to.

BTW - I HATE that ford was soooo stupid as to make us walk around the car to put gas in it! What were they thinking? How much harder could it have been to put the gas cap on the driver side? Maybe they thought "This is so nice, the driver will want to see both sides every time he gets out...?" LOL!
