Default Exhaust Cut Out and O2 Sensors

I've been thinking of putting exhaust cut outs on for drag strip use.
Would the cut outs make my car run poorly due to that fact that the O2 sensors would not read because the exhaust would be coming out before them? I noticed sensors in the exhaust after the headers. What are those? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Place the cutouts AFTER the O2 sensors.

And one more thing, do you really think cutouts will help you get more power?
Most of the time you will loose torque and gain just a little HP since the engine needs at least a little backpressure.
My advice is to get a decent X or H pipe and a cat back or free flowing mufflers.

do like he said, after the 02's , keeps the CEL from kickin on. for track use, run open pipes but for street use you want a little backpressure to spin the tires

So the cut outs would go after the cats right? That's where the O2 sensors are. What are the sensors after the headers? The idea of a cut out I thought, was to go right after the headers for the least restriction of air flow. I do have BBK Headers, Flowmaster Exhaust, and a H-Pipe.
No, I don't think I'll gain much, but I will be able to hear my engine with all the other cars running open headers at the track. I mostly use the car for racing anyways. I would never run it with the cut outs open on the street unless I wanted to get pulled over every two seconds! And I really don't want to spin the tires on the street, just hook at the track. The only reason it's street legal is so I can get it to the track. I'll eventually make it a trailer car and not have to worry about emissions, exhaust noise, and so on.
So there is really no gains in an exhaust cut out?
Thanks!

The O2 sensors are between the headers and cats on Fox 'Stangs. I think '94s and '95s have 2 more, after the cats. You definitly need the ones closest to the motor.
