I have an overheating problem not due to a thermostat or anything simple like that. I believe it is a minor head gasket leak that is causing pressure and heat from the combustion chamer to enter the cooling system. sometimes when i fill the radiator, i get a few tiny bubbles coming out like a soda when the engine is running. I have already relplaced the head gaskets once for this, but i ran my nitrous and it started happening again. Is there somthing that i can add to the cooling system to block the minor leak? Thanks
If it is a head gasket, I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it, except replace it. Did you reuse the head bolts? Many times the old head bolts stretch, and even if you can get a torque out of them, the pressure can make it worse and you blow a head gasket. I've seen it happen. So try getting new head bolts from ARP or something like that.
Yeah, I have replace the head bolts. If the head gasket did have a leak to do that, would it burn coolant and puff white smoke? My car isnt doing that , but I guess I'll try to work the bubbles out of the system and try driving it again.
Have you pressurized the cooling system with a cooling system pressurizer. You pump it up ti 16 lbs. and check the car for leakage. You should also take a look at your plugs, if your leaking into the cylinders, then your plugs should be clean, check for coolant in the oil also. Do some simple checks b4 poping your heads off.
