Default Rear Wheel Noise (Clicking)

When im driving at all times mostly when its in nuetral because i can hear it the best, my rear makes this clicking/ticking noise. I don't think its the bearings because i was told that would make a screeching noise or whistle. this noise is like something is stuck in the wheel and it rolls around but there nothing i took off the tire and checked. nothing. i jacked up the rear and spinned the tires to see if i heard it and i could'nt and then i went on to start it up and put it in first and try to hear it while the tires were spinning but still no noise. i'm out of ideas here guys. please help. at first i thought it was in the tires/wheels but it might be in the rear end. please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe warped rotors? Mine do it sometimes, but I can only blame myself for all the brake stands!!

What year is your car? Disc or Drums in the rear? Does it change sound when your on the brakes? A friend of mine had the same sound, except his would get louder when he put on the brake. Turned out he had a bent axle and warp drum.

Hey man i was having that same problem....I started noticing the noise the second day after i got the car. then one day i was crusin wit a friend and he asked me what the noise was i thought it was some thin in the tires but he looked arownd and the noise was comin from the window. The window would hit on the door when ever i would hit a bump. It could be that you should check it out man I could sworn it was coming from the tires....

Make sure it's not the rear end diff...take it on the highway and see how it reacts when you press on the gas. Then see how it acts when you coast in Neutral at about 25+ mph. Make sure there's no clicking when you shift from park to R/D.
Also, some types of tires suck and make clicking type noises when they're low on air. Good luck...

If you have drum brakes, pull the drums and inspect the brake adjuster cable and related hardware, those things always break after a while and will make the noise you discribe.

Have you done any of the things mentioned above? Did you pull the rear drums and inspect the brake hardware?
