Default What 302 longblocks fits mustang lx 4cyl bay?

I am having some difficulty locating a decently priced mustang 302 motor. Will the thunderbird efi 302 motor, intake, accessories and all fit my 87 efi mustang and hows the horsepower, or what about the ford f150 or f250 efi 302. I know i have to change the bell housing for my t5 5speed. any suggestions on what other ford 302 motors and accessories will bolt right in and plug right up with the proper harnes and ecu/

Most will bolt on except for the trucks with their taller intake.

all 302 long blocks should be fine, it's the accesories, base pan, motor mounts and intakes mostly that differ. If you have the accesories from a 5.0 Mustang and the intake, sensors etc, they will all bolt up to any 302 long block. Also look out because a cam shaft from some long blocks other than a mustang may have a different firing order.

as long as you have the motor mounts and brackets for the 302 Mustang you'll be fine. i personally would change the cam and intake anyways if the motor comes from a truck. they operate on a different HP and TQ curve than the 5.0HO
