Default Looking at a '94 5.0

Hey everyone. On my way out the door to look at a '94 GT convertible with the 5.0. I should have posted this earlier but better late then never I guess. This will be the first look so there will be at least one more before I but it, if I do. Anyone interested in tossing their oppinion in about what to look for on this particular year car? What's good, what's bad etc.
Like I said it's a '94 'vert with the 5.0, 66k on it and unfortunatly it's an auto
Any input would be appriciated. I'll have more info on the car tomorrow.

Thanks
Dave

First thing, the tranny, those fail, and more so in the heavier convertibles.
Then check the suspension, after all this time is it possible you need to replace the tie rods, and possibly some bushings.
The engine is reliable, but might need a good tuneup.
Another issue is COOLING, those years are prone to overheat, the radiator is on the small side and if not cleaned often the passages block and car overheats. The fan also had problems, there even was a recall on the wiring, make sure it works.

Other than that, it is a 5.0, and as such very reliable.

Very nice looking car. Well kept, clean with a few dings which I supose you would expect for a car that's twelve years old. Only problem is it has a salvage title If only people would be honest about that sort of thing up front it would save so much time. Very aggrivating to spend an hour looking at a car, then have them say "oh, by the way, it was in a wreck and has a salvage title" Bah
