Default engine running code reader

ok when i do a key on engine off test(KOEO) i get codes 67, 81, 82

then i tryed to do a engine running test but no codes. so i was told to delete code 67 then do a running test. well i tryed to delete my codes with my code reader and it just dont work becuz i still cant do an engine running test. i waited for 5 minutes and no codes came while the car was running. any help would be cool

67 means nuetral safty switch...if you dont fix it ...it wont go away. you cant just clear it ,you must fix this one.

my car is auto and i know that the neutral safety switch is bad becuz i can start it in gear, how do i fix this?

its on the tranny.....drivers side.just replace. autozone part # f409
not available in the store, order online or chech your local ford dealer

i found the neutral safety switch right down the street at advanced autoparts for $36, ill be picking that up tomorrow, thanx for the help.

Yep, once the 67 is rectified, you'll get the engine running codes.

is the neutral safety switch the size of about a spark plug with an electrical connection on it?
