Hey, I've been looking at one of these for my 95 GT, all the research I've done looks good, but I don't have any real experience with these. If you get one, let me know how it works for you.

Hypertech is a joke for a '89 - '93 car. It added timing which you can do or have done all ready. It uses premium gas because it moved the timing up 4 degrees which you can do. Back in '90 Super Ford Magazine decoded the chip and that was it. Makes sense because on the Buick GN the chip was BLANK nothing on it and it caused the GN to go in Limp Mode which added more fuel to save the engine and the chip shut off the dash light.

Don't waste your money on these. I was thinking about getting a performance chip too, but it looks like these things don't do crap. I was reading this article about it, and it looks like these things don't work at all

I honestly don't understand the question there???

Generally, the hypertechs increase the Ignition Timing.
You can do this yourself for free by turning the distributor
It is possible that the hypertech modifies the fuel metering as well, but how would you know that the hypertech values are what you need in your car???

Pretty much a waste of money/time... If you want to get into the ecu settings/tuning there are better ways to do it....
