I'm in the process of mating a 79' Windsor 302 with a FMX (auto) tranny. Problem I am having is what flywheel (flexplate) to use. I know the 79's used a 28o z external balance. Can I use any flywheel/flexpate or does it have to be specific to the tranny as well. I can get my hands on a 28o z that will fit the bellhousing and starter but is there a spcific flywheel for the FMX??....any help appreciated.
