Default Annoying High Pitched Whistle Noise

I was gonna forget about it bc the car is running fine but the noise just is the most annoying/irrating noise in the world. its not a vacuum leak noise at all. my mechanic looked at it and thought he fixed it and he did'nt. he can't even figure this out. so yesterday i decided to take a hose and put one side in my ear and the other side around the intake manifold searching for the noise and the holes that are on the EGR Valve i put the hose up to one of the holes and the noise is coming out of there the loudest then any other place and then i guess it amplifies into the upper intake manifold. it only occurs at idle and you can hear it over the exhaust. as soon as you hit the gas it goes away.does anyone have any ideas. could the EGR be the problem.

Also, to add when i pulled the engine codes about last week I got code 33 which is an EGR Valve code but today i just replaced the EGR Valve and the noise is still there so i dont know what it could be then?

Any ideas will be appreciated since i am desperate on this matter.

Sounds like the diaphram is bad. Hook a vacuum hand pump to the valve and see if it holds.

My Explorer did the same thing, then a few months ago my Stang started doing it. It would only do it when the weather got warm and once the car was warmed up. I put the blower on and it went away, try doing that .

What type of throttle body to you have? If it is a BBK the noise may be coming from that by chance, they have been known to whistle.

Is the EGR switch that is mounted on the EGR sealed well with that O-ring. I purchased a generic EGR once and the EGR Switch did not sit flat and caused me problems.

The used EGR is in great condition. again, it only does it when it idle as soon as you tap on the gas it goes away right AWAY! it cant be my throttle body because my old engine did[nt do it and wen i got the new engine it still didnt do it until i took off the upper intake to paint it and put it back together. me and my mechanic can't figure out what it is?

please im out of ideas here

That's not the sound of a dying fuel pump is it?

My fuel pump made a high pitched whistle/whine like it was running dry before it just plain out died... (wow that almost rhymes)

Just spray starter fluid around all your hoses and manifold connections and around the manifold itself while running and you will find a vacuum leak fast since the idle will jump up.

I just started getting that noise to. I only get it on the highway though. I'm wondering if it's my air intake and shaker hood scoop???? It's weird though because I don't get it all the time just pops up randomly and only last a couple seconds.
