Default Ignition-Acc,Run & start. What position is Crank & Run?

My book tells me to connect my EEC power relay to Crank & run.
What does that mean? There is only 1 wire. Does crank and run mean i hook it up to Run?thanks

i would hook it up to the run because the start wire if for the starter. Run is accessory, start is only powered when turning the ignition.

You are looking for the red/green at the ignition switch that has power ONLY when the key is in the run or crank positions. When the key is in off or turned back to ACC the wire will have no power.

Ignition wire functions:
Red/Blue or White/Pink=Start (power in the crank position only)
Red/Green=IGNITION (power in run and crank only)
Gray/Yellow= ACC1 (runs the heat, power in the run position only)
Black/Green=ACC2, (powers the radio and some other crap, hot in ACC and run positions only).
Red=power

Switch position terms:
crank = when the key is in the position that the engine turns over with the starter engaged
run = the position the key is in after the engine starts and you release the key from the crank position
off= duh
acc = key turned backwards so the accessories work but the idiot lights on the dash are off.

Hope this helps.
