Default Computer swap from t-5 to AOD?

I had already posted a problem with my car shaking when it shifts. A suggestion was made to check the mounts. I did and they are tight. My car used to have at-5 but now has an AOD. The guy who did this never swaped computers. Would this cause the car to lose power when it shifts and then start shaking as it regains power as I am accelerating? The car is an 89 GT. Would I have to get a computer from an 89 or would any year suffice? I don't know what year the tranny is.

Thanks for any help.

Nope, i dont think that is the cause, to me it sounds like the torque converter is the problem. The main reason is that the AOD is not electroncally controled by the EEC.

Only the AOD from 94-95s is
