I have an autometer phantom air to fuel, this is how mines hooked up, red to the ignition switch, white to the dash lighting, black is ground of course, and the violet goes to the O2 sensor.

Dont mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know a link to hooking up a wideband o2 sensor and a gauge? Every kit I see uses one of those big square black boxes that shows the ratio in either digital or little LED's. It cant be as simple as hooking the o2 sensor to the gauge, theres gotta be something in between but I cant find out what.

there should be a letter on your plug of your 02 sensor that indicates your wires. One letter for each wire, A is the heater positive, B for your heater ground wire, and C for your signal wire, my cars not here right now otherwise id go out and take a look. Hope this helps.

The black sensor wire should be the signal. Be careful when tapping into the main harness, as the wire is usually shielded.

If you start having a/f ratio problems with the car, start by cutting the purple wire. The first time I was troubleshooting a car that ran pig rich, it took hours before I discovered the Autometer narrowband a/f "lightshow" was to blame. It went bad, and snet its own output a voltage to the ecm. I cut the wires, rolled down the window, threw it out the window, and rolled the window up. Problem solved!

I've seen four fail, and Autometer doesn't give a ****! It's not worth the hassle.

well i might have to rethink this whole a/f gauge if it is going to make my pony run bad. i don't need something that is going to cause more problems. my right foot does a good job of that anyway.

i dont want to discourage you about your gauge but unless you have a wide band o2 sensor and the proper gauge all you are doing is adding a disco light show to you car. your money is far better spent on an egt gauge with two pyrometers that will read the left and right cylinder banks. an air fuel gauge will only tell you when you are in a closed loop, not any kind of reading you could use to tune with. just a thought and my .02
