parts list includes 2 quarts of gear oil, a bottle of friction modifier ford part number XL-3, red locktite, silicone sealer, pinion seal, crush sleeve, and pinion nut, and slinger.

if you plan on doing bearings too, you need a pinion bearings, big and small, and races, and two carrier bearings and races. plus the afforementioned items. you also may need different size carrier shims, or pinion shims.

just pay someone to do it.... i do rearend all the time at work and for a first time... its not worth it...ull probly but to much preload on the bearing and ruin it.. unless u have a press and micrometer and know how to use them.... give it a chance

the 8mm bolt is a cheaply material with not a true 8mm size... with the crus sleeve jus t impact it till u feal a slight drag on the bearing... u want about 18 inch/pounds... if u go to much just pull out the the pinion and hammer the crush sleeve to flatten it out a bit then try it again...... dont belive all that bs on breaking it it.... break it in how u plan to drive it....

Not including the gears themselves, probably $300-$350 for install is what to expect.

It's really not that hard to do it yourself. You just have to be mindful of the tolerances and make sure everything spins right when you're done. Though I will admit, having a shop press is very helpful. I wouldn't want to try it without one.
