C-4 trans in a 5.0

Just curious as to what everyone knows about putting a c-4 trans in 5.0. I have heard and read good and bad about the AOD. A trans guy locally is telling me the c-4 is better and bullet proof. If anyone has put a c-4 in their car would like to know what crossmember, bellhousing, and driveshaft you used.

a C4 is not bullitproof in stock form, and by the time you make it bullitproof, you have a $2000 tranny
A C4 is lighter
a C4 does not have overdrive and you will get less mileage.
the crossmember would have to be custom made due to your factory duel exhaust...older FOX'es used a C5, but only have clearence for one exhaust pipe.
You will need to use a C4 bellhousing for a smallblock V8
You would need to have your driveshaft lengthened.
