Default some intake question and a couple other questions

hey all, I am getting close to having the wiring and other parts of my swap finished, so now I am looking at geting an intake manifold before i start it up. what I am looking at doing is swaping an upper and lower intake onto my 89 5.0 block that will work with my stock heads but will also work with a set of 165 afr heads (the afr heads arnt any taller are they?) that I will be using after I rebuild the motor, also the intake must be able to use the stock throttle cable but I dont care about emmisions stuff cause I dont have any.
I would like to know about the sn95 intake manifold cause it looks like it bends toward the front of the car cause I am building a one off cold air box that I will mounting in front of the passenger side inner fender behind the head light. also I have to have a half inch total milled out of the upper and lower intakes to lower them enough to fit under the hood of the car (is it best to take a 1/4 inch out of each?).
Would the sn95 intake be a good choice, if I find a sn95 cobra set would that be better? any input would be great, I have read a little about this sort of stuff but I am still a rookie in the mustang world and want to do it right the first time. I dont want to use an after market set up cause I like the look of the stock manifolds, they remind me of the old rotory motors I had in the car befor the 5.0l found it's way in there.

thanks alot for your time and input, this helps out a rotory junky alot.

Yes, get an SN Cobra intake now and run it stock. When you get the AFR heads, you'll need to get the intake ported to flow up to the potential of the AFR heads. That intake will make very good power on both sets of heads. Larger intakes like the TF Street, Track, RPM II and others have a larger cross section and will not make the same average power over the rpm range as a ported Cobra lower with stock upper Cobra - and they will requiire that you buy an $80 extension to get the SN bend in the intake to boot.

this adapter you speak of, will it not raise the intake hight? so the sn95 intakes bolt up and you can use the 89 throttle body and tps?

No, you can't mix and match. You use a Fox intake + Fox TB + Fox throttle body or, you use an SN intake/Fox intake with the 45 degree extension + a SN throttle body + SN throttle cable.
