Default clicking noise???

I recently just finally finished my cam swap. I pulled out the F303 and put in an E303. I fired it up and everything seems to be working properly. I had a thermostat sticking issue but it seems to have worked its way free without having to replace it. Only thing is, i have this weird clicking coming from exactly over the middle of the upper intake, its a trick flow street if that makes a difference. It sounds like a kid with a tin can on the spokes of a bicycle. I almost remember a noise like this when i 1st put it together awhile back and the noise went away. I dont believe its the rockers cause the noise isn't coming from under the valve covers. I wanna drive it to work tomorrow, not beating on it or anything but just to break in the new gaskets and make sure everything else is good to go. Anyone have any ideas?

the noise could be the injectors opening and closing

I had the same thing hapen to me. It sounded exactly like what you described... that's how I found out my car started to burn oil. It turns out it didn't have but a drop of oil and I guess a lifter was sticking or something. As soon as I put oil in it it went away. One thing you migh want to do when you take the lifters out for (in your case) a cam swap is to get a small bucket where you can put some fresh oil in and put your lifters in that oil and plunge them by hand to kind of pump all the dirty oil and any dirt from their insides.
