Default twin turbo 5.0 questions.

Hello Im looking on some info on a twin turbo set up for my 5.0. so far the car is stock as far as the motor goes.

This car is for a competition where each can only spend 2k and who is the fastest wins.

I looked this link over http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/21.shtml

How would 2 Brand kkk size k26 turbos work on my motor. Im asking because I have one already from an audi. My consern is that two of these would be to much. As to the k24s which to me would seem better but I would then have to buy both.

I would rather stay with KKK brand because my budie works with them and has lots of parts. Neither of us are fumiliar with garret. In that link it let me to think that 2 garet T-3 turbos would be ideal. what is the kkk equivelent to them.

Im looking for the car to be a drag racer, but still be able to drive it to the track and posibly make it home also.

thanks in advance guys!!!

if your spending 2k there is brand new kits on e-bay for your 5.0L, i saw a bunch of kits for mustangs. There is a twin turbo t3-t4 turbos with intercooler, piping, bov, fuel management unit, pressure regulater, and everything you will need to get it going for around $1600.

Why not consider a single set up with a Holset H1C/D/E, HX35 or 45 from a Cummins? My neighbor has these lying around like peanuts at a Logan's. They're easy to work on, cheap to rebuild (if needed) and should produce more than enough boost for the price your budget is restricting you to. Not to mention they're reliable.
