Default shifter help anyone?

alright when i first got my 93 stang lx 5.0 it had a short throw shifter or so i thought after driving it a while i realized it has a really ****** up 1st to 2nd throw and its hard to get in and caused missed shifts all the time so i took the boot off and saw it was just the stock shifter cut and welded. i was wondering if any1 knew a good shifter to get to replace this

I have a Hurst in my 5.0 and a Steeda Tri Ax in my Cobra. Both are good and I'm sure any of the others are good as well. Something you may want to look at is it may not totally be your shifter causing the missed shifts. My former street warrior 5.0 has sustained a few fender benders over the years and busted the torque boxes more than once. I had problems getting her into gear with a new tranny. I got my torque box welded and things improved. Then I welded in sub frame connectors and it shifts like glass. Lesson is check your torque boxes and subframes are worth their cheap price.

Pro 5.0 all the way. I love that shifter. It seems like everyone loves any aftermarket shifter for mustangs so it may be just a matter of finding one at the right price.

I have a Hurst in my 90, but I have a modified stock handle so the shifter angles back more (no major reach for third). I would say its probably one of the best things I've done to my car.

the PRO-50 shifter has been around for a long time and has a great track record. it works great in the wifes 97 cobra.
