Default SeaFoam question...

whats up guys

Finally found and auto store that sells seafoam!! just wondering how will i know when all of the carbon buildup on the pistons/valves is gone? i tried it today and it does the tell tale white smoke out of the exhaust after the 5 min. soak time. "so when carbon is gone no more white smoke"??? just wondering what everyone does to find out if most or all of the carbon buildup is gone?

I'd guess the white smoke was the detergent. I've heard of people pouring transmission fluid down the carb, but don't pour too much in there at once, or it'll hydrolock.

Hey Meangreen92, I also heard that pouring a quart of tranny fluid in a full tank of gas will clean out the valves, fuel injectors, and sensors. I've tried it and it works. No $hit!!!! One guy up this way actually uses it on every tankful because it gives him better gas mileage. I guess the additive in the tranny fluid is the same ingredient that used to be used in the older fuel injector cleaners before the EPA regulations. If you add it, you will notice and increase in water output in your exhaust. It will clean it out.....
