.045? Have you tried to run the car yet? Does it run alright? Any loss of power? Less of a gap is going to give you less spark, if you don't have enough spark to ignite the fuel, you are going to have a problem. I have heard of people using .05 but never lower than that, but who knows, maybe it is fine, that is just my thought for the day.

357 rwhp/ 361 rwtq on motor
428 rwhp/ 484 rwtq on 100 shot
12.48 @ 111 mph on motor (2200ft + elevation)
11.7 @ 120 mph on 100 shot (2200ft + elevation)
works fine. I still some bog here and there but I am hoping all of that will change when i get new wires. the wires are also bad. MadMatt what does your car put down in the 1/4?

Well the best run I have put down is a 14.4 but my motor is shot, losing a lot of compression. This is on street tires also, so there was more left in it. I would guess it was more capable of a mid-high 13 if my motor was any good. It is out of the car as we speak, got a new 331 to replace it.

I've run .45 on Motorcraft plugs, and it ran fine. I've got a set of Autolites (that's what walmart had) on there now, gapped at .54, and it's bogging and bucking. I'm gonna switch back to Motorcrafts. I've read that they're the same, but I don't know about that.
