I am currently hopping up my 1984 RS Capri that has been sitting in my garage for the last 10 years collecting dust. I am putting a 347 Stroker motor in it and updating the engine specs to a 1985 roller block with headers and alumminum heads. I just bought some new Energy Sus. GT Mustang engine mounts from Summit and found after removing the my old mounts that they weren't even a close fit. I looked everywhere on the net before buying the mounts and a lot of places said the RS and GT mounts were a direct swap. It is looking like this is not the case. Anyone run into this problem and find a fix or find a place to buy some strong mounts for the RS? I am guessing that a 347 running around 400hp and 360lbs torque would make short work of a stock set of Capri mounts.

All Mustang/Capri with a V8 all use the same mounts, except for the convertible.
While the coupe and vert are different, they all will fit the car/motor.
I would guess you got the wrong mounts in the order.
