After my car is at opperating temp, I'll turn my heater on and it's warm, but it could be warmer. Also, the two outer vents are blowing much at all; just the middle ones. It's warm enough to help, but I've got friends that their heater will burn you alive. Is it my heater core? What else would it be?

Sounds like you have a 180º thermostat. Switch to a 190º.

I just put a new one in about a week ago and it's a 195.

Have you done a coolant system flush? you could also try unhooking both heater
hoses from the core and flush it both ways with a hose. If you live in Texas then
I guess you don't have to worry about the water freezing in your core. But yeah...
after that let it run and see what happens. Warning: If your heater core is old and
weak, this may cause it to go totally pooched and start leaking.
