Default 347 Stroker Horse Power?

I am currently building a 347 CID stroker motor for my car restoration project. I am curious what type of horse power to expect this engine to produce.

Keep in mind guys that I am living in the strangle the crap out of your engine capitol of the world California, so I have to run all the stupid smog stuff to keep the car street legal . I will be using a Eagle EAG-b16004LS stroker kit, Edelbrock Performer EGR 2 plane manifold with a Holly 600CFM Carb. I am also running Edelbrock Aluminum #60359 heads with the 2.02"/1.60" valves with Crower Stainless steel 1.7 ratio Roller Rockers. I will be using the Ford E303 Roller cam with the rockers the gross lift will increase to around .528 and the compression ratio should be in the ball park of around 10.1 to 1. I will be running a set of stock 1985 tube headers with cats and mufflers. I am also using a MSD 6A ignition, Blaster 2 coil and a pro Billet MS-8352 Distributor. If you need any more info to get a better idea of the specs please let me know.

Has anyone run a setup close to this? I am just looking for a ball park HP and torque figure.

Thanx for taking the time to read,
Robert

A lot depends on your tune. If those headers are the true "stock" headers that came on the car you can just give me the money you've spent because you will never make the power of a bolt on 302. Spend the money for a good set of cats and tune and you should be okay. I can't tell you power figures as I don't know anything about carb setups. Just FI.

Why would you build a motor like that then run a set of stock headers? Why not just get some smog legal BBK shorty headers?

You only have to smog every 2 years there, get yourself an off road H pipe to run between SMOG checks and atleast bolt on some sort of aftermarket exhaust.

Default Im with nate

I got the same set up u have and am goin to have it tuned in about a montyh after the rebuild because it's like minus 8 here. But i to have a tight emissions and i run bbk longtubes with highflow cats and mufflers there's no point in having that motor with crappy stock parts, when i get etested i tell them that my motor is a 351 and it raises the limit you should try it, when u say it's a 351 all you standards double and u should pass if u have 02 sensors, cats, mufflers and a good running motor, oh yeah except for mine is efi
