I'm in the process of installing a complete rear disc setup out of a 93 Cobra. I have just about everything, except the hard lines. Has anyone done this swap before, if so did you try to modify the orig lines or is the a company that sells the hard lines for the cobra? Also I have the 2 rear ebrake cables, but I read somewhere that the center cable has to be replaced also. If anyone has done this swap or something similar any lessons learned or knowledge transfer would be appreciated.
thanks

just go buy a tube cutting and flaring, and bending kit. like 30 bucks at your local autoparts store. brake lines are very easy to do yourself... just make sure you use the proper fittings, and that you dont kink or bend the lines too far.

I was trying to avoid that.. One, I'd rather pay the money for lines and save time. Two, I'm lazy, if you don't flare them right they leak, then you have to start over. It can be a real pain in the ass. Thanks for the feedback though. I may have to that route if I can't find the lines.

do you have the cobra e brake lever and middle cable? if you could get ahold of those it may tell the truth, but i dont think you have to mod the hand brake lever if you use the stock center cable. the motorsport center cable that is included in the M2300K kit is threaded, and thats where the adjustment lies. now as for the e brake mod. if you read the ford racing instruction sheet as how to perform the adjustment, it tells you to disable the self adjuster spring which is in the handle. (black coiled thing) then it tells you to weld the pawls together on the second to last tooth. then you adjust the cable tension through the new motorsport center cable. now if you use the stock center cable, and an unmodified lever, with the new disc brake motorsport rear cables, in theory you should be fine, because the self adjuster will be doing what its designed for. i think the hard part will be recoiling the ebrake self adjuster spring so as to get proper tension.

I have SN95 Brakes out back, not 93 Cobra Brakes, but I would assume they are very similar, the reason for modding the handbrake and using the adjustable center cable is to prevent the rear brakes from hanging up or dragging, the mods are VERY easy and I highly recommend it.
I think the 93 Cobra brakes are the same as the SN95 V6 and GT brakes. The 93 Cobra R brakes are the same as the SN95 Cobras. So the parts in the M-2300-K kit should be the same as the 93 Cobra R. If this is true, the parking brake cables and rear hard line should be able to be used from a SN95 V6 or GT. You can look at a PDF copy of the M-2300-K instructions on the Ford Racing website and compare the parts in the kit to what you have and go from there, which is what I'm doing for my conversion. Also, if you are so inclined, you can make your own flex lines with fittings and stainless braided hose from somebody like Aeroquip. On the back of my car, I am just ditching the hard line on the axle and running a tee off the chassis side hardline and stainless braided line from the tee to the calipers.
Thanks to all for the advice.. Much appreciated- I'll let you know how I make out. Should be a big difference.
I have the rear out now. Going with Steeda upper and lower alum arms, a T2 Torsen 31 spline posi, 31 spline cobra length axles, the cobra disc brake setup, slotted drilled rotors, steeda sport springs, T/A style axle cover, steeda adjustable rear sway bar, 3.55 FMS gears, EBC rear pads, Steeda rear housing bushing,Tockiko Shocks, it should HOOK, HANDLE and STOP very well. Same stuff up front of course..
