Start from the top. I recently replaced my battery, and when I fired up my car the windshield wipers stayed on constantly. Any one ever had this problem before? When the wipers are on, the switch is in the off position. When the switch is turned to the fast postion, the wipers will go faster by cause such a drain in battery juice that my headlights and dash lights will blink. Any ideas or starting points? Car is a 95 GT.
no, I havent checked anything because I dont know where to begin with this issue. The battery, alternator are both new as a result of an upgrade for a larger radio and componets.
it might be something simple like bad switches in your wiper lever... you can take the cap off the end of the lever and spray some electronics cleaner in there. i had some problems with my wipers a while back and that fixed em up.
it could also be some type of wiring issue i guess...

So I didnt realize that I have had thius wiper problem for quite so long. I have really been neglecting my car I guess. Well I replaced the wiper motor, and the switch. Still the same thing. Is there anything else I am missing. I have talked with a mechanic who suggested changing the motor. Anyways, the wipers are still constantly on.
you said that you upgraded the stereo system. how did you wire your radio/speakers. maybe you caused that to happen when you installed the stereo equipment. whoever had my car before me did some crazy stuff with the radio wires that caused a loud buzzing noise.
