invest in a leakdown tester, with that you can pinpoint were you are losing compression in each cylinder ie intake valve, exaust valve or rings

so my valves could cause a leak. if so i should tell you guys that to me my heads have been suspect since i have had the car. see the dude i brought the car from a year ago brought the heads from some place that had some work done to them milled down or something. so check this idea out. i plan on putting some edelbrock heads on here in january, right and when i do i will do another compression check and if the compression is still out of wack i will just get me an dss racing cnc level 306 or 331 shortblock.

so does anyone know if it true that the intake or exhaust valves on cylinder head could cause compression problems????

well, im no expert by any means, but consider this:
if you have an intake or exhaust valve that is floating, or staying or popping open when a cylinder is on its compression stroke, some of the power is going to escape through the open valve, i.e. loss of compression.
