Default mysterious oil leak

ok,so today my 'check oil light' came on so i checked it,it was down about a 1/2 qaurt so i filled it,looked around for a leak and for alot of oil on the body by the tranny and on the tranny and bottom of the oil pan and on the floor pans,the clutch doesnt slip, and the valve covers dont leak,so idk,any ideas? thx

I would think this would either be a leak from the back side of the lower intake or a rear main leak. I know you were saying that your clutch was not slipping but I had a bad rear main leak all last summer and my clutch was dry when I pulled it out a month ago.

357 rwhp/ 361 rwtq on motor
428 rwhp/ 484 rwtq on 100 shot

12.48 @ 111 mph on motor (2200ft + elevation)
11.7 @ 120 mph on 100 shot (2200ft + elevation)

could also be an oil pan gasket

I would use brake cleaner and clean the whole motor. Then run it for a little while and look for the leak. the brake cleaner will dry all the oil and then u can c where its coming from
