Default guide plates for trick flow heads?

I have bought 2 types of push rod guide plates and neither one of them fit my Trick flow heads. The bolt holes are not wide enough. Does anyone know if you have to have special ones for the trick flows or can I run them with out the guide plates. I am using comp cam roller rockers also with screw in studs. THanks

My guess is you will probably need the trick flow ones if you can't find any other ones that fit. You will need them though, you cannot run without them, also make sure you use hardened pushrods because of the rubbing on the guide plates, most hardened pushrods will say that they are good for use with guide plates.

You had trouble with the head bolts? I have always used just the standard 5.0 head bolts from ARP for mine (ARP-154-3601) and never had a problem. That is the bolt trick flow says to use too.
