Default UPDATE on paint job :) *see pics!!*

well it is taking way longer than expected.. i got sick for a while and couldnt do any sanding.. i got the bumper done today.

I also was able to repair my fender where it got smashed in by a loser and his volvo... bondoed it up nice and perty

LOOKING GOOD, you have a way to go but once its done im sure itll be worth the time....

Very good work, you got any picture before you started the work…….I’m no body expert but this is my favorite part of restoration…..

If I ever get the vert out of storage I’ll post some more pic of her which is all primer right now….I shaved the door handles, gas cap, antenna. Had to use my expensive $200 paint gun for primer, the el cheep oh gun I bought for primer was too cheep, runs every……..luckily they sand out……..

well i never took pics of the crash.. stupid i know but the guy cut me a 1000$ check so it wasnt really needed i do however have some pics i took right after i bought my car jan of '05... check em out

p.s. i will take the badge off.. it was a quick spray.. i will be focusing on the fenders when done with the bumpers..

p.p.s. shaving the antenna and door handles sounds awesome!! i think i would just do the antenna though.. how do i go about doing that? thanks!

What I did was weld a piece of thin sheetmetal in the shape of the hole on the inside and outside of of the fender and then smooth out the top with a little filler. You can't even tell I had a tennie on my fender..LATER!!
