T5 World Class Rebuild

I am rebuilding my T5 World Class and have a question and concern. This is my first time rebuilding one, is it normal for the output shaft bearing outer race to just slide through its bore in the case or is it supposed to be pressed in? It would be my guess that you are supposed to drive it in and not be able to just push it all the way through by hand. This has me concerned that I need a new case. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It lust slips in the rear bore and the tail housing has a lip that secures it from the rear.
It is tightened by installing the proper shim behind the race for the input shaft bearing.
